For many years FABNIA has focused on reducing or "calming" traffic along Fuhrman/Boyer Avenue which extends along the west side of Portage Bay.  The results of FABNIA's work can be seen in FIVE traffic circles that have been installed by the City of Seattle to reduce the speed of traffic.  Once known as the "Boyer Speedway".  FABNIA has worked cooperatively with the City of Seattle Department of Transportation to mitigate the problem.  Speeding traffic on Furhman/Boyer has grown considerably as commuters have found it an ideal corridor to and from the SR 520 bridge.
